The North end is only one-square-mile and jutts into Boston Harbor. It is Boston’s oldest residential area, and is an easy walk to Faneuil Hall and the financial district. Often referred to as “Little Italy” there are many excellent Italian restaurants and bakeries to choose from. People travel from all over to visit this section of Boston. One of truly unique aspects of this neighborhood is the annual revelry of Feast season put on by the devoted residents and business owners Every night seems to have a parade celebrating a patron saint. This celebration gives this neighborhood it this unique European flair.
